Carnarvon Invitational

Over the WA Day long weekend Carnarvon Pistol Association (CPA) hosted its first ever IPSC/SSAA invitational match.

The event was a huge success with 51 competitors from all around the state heading to the tropics to compete. The hospitality shown by CPA was outstanding to say the least! Who can say no to fresh Blue Swimmer Crabs and Carnarvon Prawns for entree with Pink Snapper, Cod and lamb on the spit for mains?! The range and stages prepared for competitors were superb and ensured all ability’s were tested. Fun was found in abundance throughout the match.

8 competitors from Jarrahdale Sporting Shooters, Practical Shooting section made the long drive up to compete. All 8 did our club proud in their results and the sportsmanship they displayed. Here is how they placed:

Derek B – 1st Overall, 1st Open Division, 1st B Grade Open
Greg N – 2nd Overall, 2nd Open Division, 2nd B Grade Open
Callen B – 4th Overall, 1st Standard Division, 1st B Grade Standard
Brett C – 6th Overall, 4th Open Division
Robert R – 19th Overall, 3rd Production Division, 1st C Grade Production
Tony O – 24th Overall, 13th Open Division, 1st D Grade Open
Nick S – 25th Overall, 14th Open Division
Jack O – 1st Junior, 45th Overall, 4th D Grade Open
